(Shirt: H&M, Skirt: H&M, Shoes: Charlotte Russe, Ring: Craft Festival in my town)
I think this shirt was originally quite a few sizes larger that I usually buy, and I don't know why I picked it out, but it has a tunicy (new word? I think so), billowy loose feel to it. I like it because it goes with everything.
Also, sorry for the perhaps awkward/ senior picture seeming pictures. I'm still learning how to show off the outfit without just standing there staring at the camera, because believe me, you don't want to see that over and over again. My sister's been taking my pictures for me and we've been tramping around the neighborhood early in the morning. We've been getting a lot of stares from those infuriating early people-you know them. The ones that get up at the crack of dawn to walk their dogs or jog. If I didn't have to get up for school, I never would have known these people existed.
One little known fact about this skirt-one that I didn't even know when I bought it- it has a little slip underneath because the top layer is, surprise surprise, see through. So I spend a good deal of energy during the day pulling down the stupid black layer of cloth that is the only thing covering me up. Com'on H&M, were you expecting your customers not to move, ever? So don't be fooled, when I wear this skirt, it is a testament to my courage and sheer force of will. haha and utter vanity, because it looks good and I'm going to wear it goshdarnit!
So this last photo is not my favorite, it doesn't even really show off my ring the way I wanted it too, and hunchback much? So through this you know how much I love this ring, if I'm going to post unflattering pictures of myself on this blog. Anyway, I got it at this crafts festival in my town, and it said they were circa 1940s, but the band is suspiciously 1990s-made-in-China metal. So I'm just going to say that the little ceramic rose in the middle is from the 1940s, because if not it was all a big lie. oh well. Have a great Labor Day!
