What a Stud

(Shirt: Express, Skirt: Thrifted, Tights: Target, Shoes: Modcloth, Belt: Mommed)

This was a good skirt. I got a lot of compliments. I got it at the quirkiest store I have ever been in, full of the weirdest things. I'm in love. The belt is great too! Normally my mom's things don't fit because she a lot taller than I am, but this belt is perfect. And mom has a tiny waist. :)
Today was rainy as HECK. But another trip to the pie store this afternoon with different friends made it a great day. It was so fun. even if they had run out of everything but cherry pie. I came home to a 30 foot drill filling my yard with mud. Yay geothermal heat!
Random Fact: I'm eating scallops for dinner. And I'm going to see an a capella group tonight. Completely made up of attractive college boys.

Dogwoods

(Cardigan: Old Navy, Dress: Target, Tights: H&M, Belt: Thrifted, Shoes: Modcloth)

Today was a pretty good day. Dogwoods are my new favorite flower. :) Besides daffodils. My sister and I hung out at a pie shop this afternoon. And I'm doing it again tomorrow. Don't judge me.

Only Shooting Stars Fit the Mold

(Shirt: American Eagle via Plato's Closet, Tank: Target, gifted, Jeans: American Eagle via Plato's Closet, Shoes: Wallabees, Belt: Mommed, Watch: WON IT)

I was goofing off with the bush mustache, and didn't find out until I put it down that there was a spider on it. GROSS!!

These pictures are what happens when Kayla takes my pictures. The whole time we were taking pictures she kept jumping. SOMEONE'S not a fan of birds. :))
Today was one of the hardest track workouts of ALL TIME. I ACTUALLY TRIED. I know, I know. calm down people. It's just so hard to try when coach tells us to run lots and lots. How can you pace that? I have no idea. 200s are my RACE baby. Although I broke 7 minutes on my mile. (6:50!!), so I'm not a complete loser at distance. (Complete)
ALSO: It was colder today. What's with that? I think I'm scaring off the seasons with my wildly optimistic blog titles. I need to chill those out. I'm thinking "Isn't it great when the snow doesn't pile up to your elbows", "Landscape artwork has never been so easy, because EVERYTHING LOOKS THE SAME". I think that'll unjinx it. ya think?
Good things to remember during the week:
1. My dance teacher telling me that I looked "strong". Something I've REALLY been striving for. And a huge part of Scottish Highland Dance.
2. Not failing my Precalc Test. Or having to retake it. The little blessings in life, people.
3. Coming to terms with the fact that my Constitutional Issues teacher will never like what I write in tests, papers and the like. And I should just accept it, and not take it personally.
4. I CAN ACTUALLY RUN QUICKLY. That's always a good boost me up
5. That REALLY NICE LOOKING GUY (okay, I'll cool it with the caps. But this one really needed it) that came in and talked to our Citizenship group about sustainability. He loves the environment, and works on the land. mmm. To quote my friend Sarah "I had no trouble looking at the front of the room" ha!
6. I know stretches that others don't, like foot stretches. Some kid was asking about them in practice, and coach didn't know. But who would? A DANCE student. That's who. Here I go, curing foot pain across the country.
7. Performing in a benefit concert this Thursday.
8. The pie shop that opened near my school. One afternoon this week, I'll be heading straight there to test out their apple pie.
9. No maintenance hair. Well, maybe slight maintenance. Like, powerwash the front panels and weed the garden maintenance.
10. Geothermal Heating being put into our house! So excited!! :) Although the entire front yard being torn up does not excite me in the least.

Meow

(Shirt: Banana Republic via Outlet, Shoes: Charlotte Russe, Tights: Unknown, Skirt: Old Navy, Belt: Thrifted)

This is the coolest thing I own. See the rhinestone eyes!? :)

And those are my mother's. They are so cute. Only dilema with getting the belt, I don't own a lot of gold. I'll have to stock up. I also got a new skirt that I'll be showing you. :) Kate and I found a ton of cool vintage places downtown. Our city is so cool!!

Summer Time, and the Living is Easy

(Dress: Old Navy, Wedges: Lands' End, Necklace: Made for me, Ring: Charlotte Russe)

This is one of my favorite dresses now. :) Mom got it for me because she liked the length. Mom LOVES the length. And the necklace is awesome too. I found the key and my friend made the chain for me. :)

Amnesia

(Shirt: TJ Maxx, Skirt: Old Navy, Shoes: Converse)

RIP Dell Computer. He coded on the table last week, and with a large family, one computer spells diaster. Brother wants to play video games, Sister wants to watch TV on the internet, Mom wants to check e-mail, etc. There has been no time for blogging with our carefully rationed computer time. The best thing about all this is that the warrenty for the computer.. ran out two months ago. ARG! So I don't know when we will be getting another computer. Ug.
Good Things That Will Help Me Get Over the Terrible Loss:
- It's getting warm again! (As you can tell from the amount of clothes I'm wearing. No tights!)
- I had a dance competition yesterday, and I did well! I felt good.
- I finally broke a 7-minute mile at the track meet
- I can do the pencil sharpener, tootsie roll, sprinkler, lawn mower, and the Q-tip dance.
Be jealous.

In a Pinch

(Shirt: Banana Republic via Outlet, Pants: Kohls, Shoes: Kelly and Katie, Necklace: Aeropostale)

Do not be confused by their innocent appearance. These are DEMON SHOES. I can only wear them for 1.5-2 hours at a time, or else my toes WILL fall off. And they felt great after yesterday's 4 hour dance intensive. So, you may ask, Allison, why do you wear these shoes? Well, the truth is, I spent a little too much on these shoes. And not wearing them would be proving to myself that I am NOT a thrifty shopper. And if I shattered that illusion of myself, there would be nothing left. So I wear them, covering my cringe with a smile. But they're cute, right? ;)

And this is my lovely sister. Such a cutie. The dress under her jacket is my Banana Republic dress, and I recently got a pair of wedges like that as well from my mom, but navy. And I imagine that as it gets warmer, I will start to wear them too. :)

Oriental Magnolia

(Shirt: Out of Print Tees, Skirt: Old Navy, Sweater: Forever 21)

Toes are really weird. Oh well. Anyway, this skirt is my first piece of linen anything, and I LOVE IT. It gaps funny in the front, so I'll have to fix that, but it's great.
Today, my friends had a picnic for another friend who got an awesome scholarship. We had pasta salad and cookies and sat outside. Today was the nicest day EVER. I also sat in a bookstore for a while and read, something I never get to do.
This weekend is going to full and busy. Have a great night. :)

It's a Bird, It's a Plane...

(Shirt: Old Navy, boy's section, Under Armor:  Dick's Sporting Goods, Converse, Scarf: Paris Street Fair)

Haha, today NO ONE DRESSED UP for Spirit Week. So I looked SUPER classy. Also, I went to get ice cream in this. Well, without the cape and belt. But my Under Armour (apparently also called compression shorts?!) is normally worn UNDER my track stuff. Bikers must have nothing they're afraid of showing off. haha my history teacher also called me "super fashion girl". I thought that was cute.

Blast to the Past

(Dress: Dillard's, Shoes: Dillard's, Scarf: Grandmother's)

This has been the weirdest week to date. I can't even explain it.
