Sydney Snatch

(Button-Up: Target, Sweater: Target, Belt: Vintage, Shoes: Converse, Jeans: Sevens for All Mankind, thrifted)

Today I felt like Sydney. I even wore red lipstick. All I need now is someone to take good pictures of me. And not these crappy one on my porch.

MJ's dance move. STOLE IT. Just like that. And it's only half of me. great.

Step One: Wake Up

(Skirt: Old Navy, Sweater: Forever 21, Shirt: American Eagle, thrifted, Necklace: Made it!, Tights: Target, Shoes: Modcloth)

I am in a clothing slump, people. I've been wearing sweaters and my pashmina for days and days.  But I think they're comfortable! And for all that I've been wanting trouser socks, I tried some on with my booties, and I was shocked at the whiteness of my legs. Thanks winter. You're a pal.

This weekend I was at All-State Chorus. Can you see me in this picture? There were 300 of us in the women's choir alone.

I was really excited. Haha or this is me glaring at the girls in front of me because they made me switch with them. "I can't see!" well now I can't either. thanks.

Our dresses were the prettiest. Our choir director as good taste. There was a lot of fake diamonds and shiny jewels. YUCK. The girl to the left with blonde hair is my friend Alaina, and the girl below me to the right is Jalesa. I met so many cool people. :)
Our conductor was only 30 or something. She was SO young. Now I think I might want to be a choir conductor for universities. That would be the coolest job in the world.
I went to Golden Corral afterwards. I was wearing my dress the whole time. I really stood out. :)
The whole thing was fun, but very exhausting, so I slept in until 10:30 and found my entire family gone. I rushed to church, and they weren't there either. Apparently they went earlier without me. Thanks family.

First Time for Everything!

So I am super excited that Melrose added me in her list of stylish bloggers. And I know this might be old news for everyone else, but not for me. I've never gotten anything like this before! Anddd it makes me feel super guilty about not putting up pictures for the last few days. Whoops. Anyway, my blog list:

7 Things About Me:
1. I am 1/4 Irish, and about 1/32 Scottish, so it makes perfect sense that I do Scottish dance. duh.
2. I love being organized, but I never am. But I'm working on it. That counts, right?
3. I have a really sarcastic sense of humor that makes some people angry. I tend to not hang out with those people.
4. I can do an aerobic plank for 3.5 minutes. I once did it for 5. It's okay to be intimidated.
5. I don't bite my nails in the summer, but stick me in a classroom, and they are GONE. I paint them a lot to stop that habit.
6. I have a deep and abiding love for singers who say what they want to say and don't care what anyone else says. Like Lily Allen. And Ke$ha. I just ignore the more trashy behavior.
7. I am a cat person. Didn't think they existed, did you?

Who Wears Short Shorts?

(Short-Sleeved Shirt: Target [sister's], Long-Sleeved Shirt: Target, Shorts Forever 21, Belt: Vintage, Tights: Target, Boots: Rack Room Shoes, Necklace: Aeropostale)

This were quick shots taken outside, so you can't really see anything up close, sorry about that. It's been rushrushrush all day, just thinking about the paper I'm writing as a team, the club I lead and basic homework and hygenie needs. All day, I've had that song "Who Wears Short Shorts?" stuck in my head. The high and squeaky one. you know it.

Knees are weird.

Close To You

(Dress: Kohl's, Sweater: Forever 21, Belt: Vintage, Scarf: Justice, Tights: Targets, Boots: Rack Room Shoes)

Oh Silly Sundays. The only weekend day I am forced to get up. My brother is ridiculous. Today I'm going for a run. 45 degrees! What a tropical place we live. So much better than yesterday though.

Pollyanna

Next year, I'm heading off to college, something that I have always looked forward too, but yesterday my mom signed me up for spring orientation, and I got totally freaked out about it. So I decided to write down some of the things I'm afraid of, and then take a Pollyanna approach. So here goes.

I'm afraid my roommate will be a complete #$^*$^%@$* and I'll be miserable.
If my roommate is a complete #@%&*%, I'll finally have someone to really hate! Maybe I can write a burn book!

I'm afraid I won't make a large group of friends.
Large groups of friends are noisy and always want to do things you don't want to do.

I'm afraid of starting over.
That's the best part! I can dye my hair blue and be angry all the time! I can pretend to be really into Romantic poets and glare at passerby.

I am being chased by a bear.
After I am mauled by this bear (because even Pollyanna can see, Allison has no chance of escaping this situation unharmed), if it rains afterwards I can use the bear's heavy footsteps as small pools of water, and the scratches on the tress to help me stand up if I lose the mobility in my legs.

With that bit of silliness out of my system (sounded British there.. what's that about mate?) I just have to remind myself to breathe. innn and outtt and not be so worried about what's in front of me... or behind me. Gotta watch out for bears.

I Am Not A Robot

(Skirt: Dillard's, Shirt: Target, Necklace: Made by a Friend, Tights: No Idea, Shoes: Modcloth, Sweater: Forever 21, Jacket: TJ Maxx)

Today it was supposed to rain. It didn't really. Since I wore the jacket, I scared it away. This pictures were the product of me hauling a collapsible chair down the hill to the creek. See the mud on my shoes? I really need a tripod. I decided when I finally work up the guts to say goodbye to money, I will name it Wendell. Whether it's a girl or a boy.
