Lover to Lover

(Sweater: Target, Blouse: Thrifted via Goodwill, Skirt: Kohl's, Boos: Rack Room Shoes, Raincoat: Rivet)

I really hope the people who live in the house in front of the shed don't discover that I'm taking pictures in it because it was pouring today and I needed somewhere dry but with outdoor lighting. It's perfect. And it's got just the right number of broken/old chairs to make it less empty. I plan on taking tons of photos here.

Early in the Morning, when I'm Half-Asleep

(Shirt: Target, Dress: TJ Maxx, Belt: Thrifted, Shoes: Qupid via Modcloth)

It is GORGEOUS this morning. And my backyard is beautiful this time of year. :) (Just don't look at the front yard. It looks like a barnyard) This week coming up is spring break, so I'm heading to somewhere warm to get a tan (yeah right. me tanning is freakish. completely unnatural) but I'll try to post some pictures from prom, but I fully intend to wear a bikini all week, and that is the opposite of an outfit post.

Early in the Morning

(Shirt: Target, Skirt: H&M, Socks: Target, Boots: Rack Room Shoes, Necklace: Confirmation, Rings: Craft Fair and Boutique)

So, have you heard about senioritis? I have it. Bad. My teacher had a DSM disgnosis of it that she showed us in class, an here's another one. Let's make sure the diagnosis is correct.

A. Three or more of the following symptoms must be present for a time period of at least one month. Apathy towards school or school- related activities is required in order to be
diagnosed with Senioritis.

1. Apathy towards school or school-related activities. (YES)
2. Increased participation in hedonistic activities. (YES. How Many The Office episodes have I watched lately? When there's work to be done?)
3. Malingering or feigning symptoms of illness in order to avoid a school setting (NOT YET. This may kick in sometime.)
4. Cognitive impairments such as: inability to focus or concentrate on school or school-related activities, selective-memory loss, decrease in ambition, and consuming thoughts of graduation or other liberation from school. (YES. Good. I thought I was just losing my mind. or developing adult onset ADHD or something.)
5. Changes in sleep patterns: an increase or decrease in the amount of sleep, or changes in when and where sleep occurs.
6. Procrastination, especially in academic pursuits. (YES. I think I invented this. I am the Queen of Procrastination.)

Alright. I have been diagnosed. Now I can start treatment. I took my pictures this morning to be all proactive and all. Let's see how long this motivation lasts.

Side Note: My Grandparents have an old Jefferson Starship record that I would consider stealing if I had a record player. "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" is my favorite so far.

When You Just Can't Seem to Win

(Shirt: Target, Skirt: Old Navy, Tights: Target, Boots: Rack Room Shoes, Belt: Target)

These sweater tights feel like leggings. We had a chorus concert the night I wore this, and I just kept them on under. It was a little warm, but my dress didn't tickle my legs. I would wear these as pants if it was socially acceptable.

Respira

(Shirt: Target, Skirt: Actually a dress seen here, Shoes: Converse, Belt: Vintage)

Taking my own pictures is super frustrating.

You Are My Electric Girl

(Shirt: Target, Jeans: Visgoss Jeans via Plato's Closet, Shoes: Lacoste via Plato's Closet, Belt: Target, Necklace: American Eagle, Ring: Vintage, gifted)

Just so you know, this is pretty much me, all the time. I go through lots of "film" taking pictures that are unusable. This is one of my better tries. This is honestly what pops in my head when someone says "pose". What would Tyra say about this?

Getting down to this spot on the hill was very difficult, hence the twisted legs. I really really really wanted to get down to the tracks here and take pictures next to the tankers, but apparently you're not supposed too. There was a lot of inhibitive greenery. and rocks. lots of rocks. Other than the fact that this picture shows my failure to reach my desired destination and a strange placement of limbs, I really like it. I love the tankers in the back, and the tall grass was really pretty.

ANNNDD a close up of my sweater which is new. I officially love it. It's comfortable and will work for fall and winter because of the 3/4 sleeves. It's a little cropped, so when I was stretching out before Chorus, my entire stomach was exposed. At least I've been working out.

The necklace is a working, opening and closing pocket watch, and one of the most amazing things I own. I actually use it to tell time. The ring was also a gift from my friend Olivia a few years ago. What's not to love about Hello Kitty? My nail polish is also in it's usual state of disrepair. How do people have the time to keep their nails looking decent without a weekly appointment at the nail salon? I do too many things with my hands during the day to keep them looking nice.

You can't see it from this angle, but there are alligators on the sides, and stripes. Haha I should have gotten a better picture. Anyway, I got these at Plato's Closet for $8 with the tags still on! What are the odds?! A bargain hunter's dream! BEST DAY EVER. Except perhaps the day I bought my Nike Bag. But a close second.

The embroidery on the back of the jeans is awesome. All right. I would like to take this time to go on a little rant about expensive jeans. Why do people buy them full price? Like cars that lose thousands as soon as they are driven off the lot, what is the point? I buy all my jeans used, and most of them were relatively expensive brands, but so worth it at $20 a pop. And worn-in too boot. Phew. Done with that. These jeans are comfortable, and only my third pair of skinny jeans. Although... skinny jeans and I have gotten really close and I'm considering a long term relationship. Serious! I know. I'll send you all an invitation to our wedding. :)
