Today it was supposed to rain. It didn't really. Since I wore the jacket, I scared it away. This pictures were the product of me hauling a collapsible chair down the hill to the creek. See the mud on my shoes? I really need a tripod. I decided when I finally work up the guts to say goodbye to money, I will name it Wendell. Whether it's a girl or a boy.

For the Birds

Today was a good day, probably because there wasn't any school. Plus! It was actually warm enough to go outside in a t-shirt. This is the first time where I didn't freeze my butt off standing around. Also, the first time my neighbors didn't stare at me like I was a crazy person for taking pictures of myself repeatedly with non-weather-appropriate clothes on. Random note, I got a Modcloth gift card and don't know what to spend it on, which is odd. Now I'm going to watch Man vs. Wild, and see him eat a snake while it's still alive for something. Just to spice up my life.

Some Days, You Just Pash-win-a. And Some Days You Don't.

Turns out my mom's been hiding this in her closet for a few years. If only I had known!

Some Days, you really don't want to get out of bed, and almost smash your alarm clock to pieces because it's SATURDAY but you STILL have to go to SCHOOL. And then you have Precalculus (yes blogger, unfortunately, that is a word) first, and that just fills you with joy. (Some days you have to try and find a container for all that joy. A nice toilet works). Some days you feel absolutely invisible, like no one even cares, so you sulk around. Some Days you are totally overwhelmed by your English assignment and want to yell at your teacher because there is no way in h-e-double-hockey-sticks that you can be deep and philosophical about an URN for gosh's sakes. And Some Days the kid next to you is more focused on proving that he knows all the letters of the Greek alphabet instead of contributing constructively to the supposedly deep and philosophical conversation you are having. (Yay you! You know the Greek alphabet! How's that going to help you in ENGLISH CLASS). 

But Some Days, you have a half day and get to go shopping with the best friend and that cheers you right up. Some Days you don't even spend that much money, ($5. On socks. Can you blame me?) so you feel super proud of yourself, and also of your pashmina-tying ability. And Some Days you watch The King's Speech with the family, and it's cute and adorable and Colin Firth is awesome, and then you come home, blog post and watch Dinner for Schmuck's with brother. And you consider it to be a good day, even though it didn't start out that well.

I have fallen in love with black nail polish and have sworn never to wear flat shoes again. That'll last about a day.

What I Wish I Wore

This is what I SHOULD have worn today. Instead I wore cords and boots. And it was all wrong. ALL WRONG, people. But I feel better now. And am thinking of doing a weekly post called "What I Wish I Wore", looking at outfits I've worn in the past or I see others wear that could be made so much better with a few nicks and tucks. What do you think?

Today was a half day because of the snow. Here's to more half days!

Coming Out on Top

So this post is me saying, "hey paper outline that's due tomorrow! Let's have a contest. Let's see how long you can avoid being written by distracting me with the internet!" I'm losing very badly. But while the pictures were uploading, I found a few primary sources! I have just exhausted my store of favorite blogs and hangouts, so after this, that paper is going to cry. And wish he never bet me that $50.
